Lessons & Training

Lessons

Cascade Farms offers beginner to advanced Hunter/Jumper riding lessons Wednesday - Sunday. Ride your own horse or use one of our safe/kind lesson horses. All ages & abilities are welcomed!

Horse riding lessons cost $45-$50 each.  Lessons last approximately 1 hour.  Please give yourself at least 30 minutes before & after your lesson time to prepare & care for your horse.

Flat Lessons

Taking a flat lesson allows the rider to focus on dressage-like techniques for the Hunter/Jumpers. Whether you are learning to ride a horse for the first time, or jumping 4'3" courses, focusing on classical flat work basics will create more successful equestrians.

Jumping Lessons

When the rider is ready, they are offered jumping lessons. Jumping lessons may incorporate anything from small cross rail lines to gymnastics to full jumping course practice. Trainers will work with you to focus on your needs & goals throughout the lesson.

Horse Training

Cascade Farms offers a variety of choices for the continued training of your horse. From a weekly training rides to full training (5 days per week), we can custom tailor the program to fit your horse's needs.

Horse Show Day Training

Day of horse show training will include learning your courses, getting ready for the show & general horse show administration. Our trainers offer individualized attention to your classes & remain with you all day to ensure a positive successful experience.

Safety is our number one priority . Helmets are always required for all riders.

COVID-19 Precautions - We are still offering lessons & training at this time, however; we have instituted some changes to our usual program for the saftey of participants & staff.  For students using lesson horses we will be implementing a no touch system. When you arrive for your lesson your horses will be tacked up and ready to go at the hitching post in front of the arena. Riders are to go directly to their horses & mount up. When the lesson is over please dismount & retie your horse at the post. We will take care of untacking, grooming & returning your lesson horse to their home. We will wipe down tack & surfaces between lessons. We ask that students who own horses tack up in their own areas, wipe down any surfaces & only use/touch their own equipment.  All visitors are asked to maintain 6ft of space at all times & avoid congregating in common areas. We also encourage wearing masks in the barn, tackrooms & other closed areas.  Thank you for your help!!
